After Monday night’s 104-101 win over the New York Knicks inside Madison Square Garden, several Cavs players decided to join in on LeBron James’ Arthur the Aardvark shenanigans.
Earlier this month, James posted a photo of Arthur’s clinched fist on his Instagram account. There was some speculation as to what the cryptic message may have meant. Some thought the King may have been upset with his team’s performance through the early stages of the season, while others believed the post was a result of Kyrie Irving’s hot start with the Boston Celtics. James later stated that he simply likes Arthur. Now, however, it seems his teammates want in on the fun.
Isaiah Thomas, who is rumored to be slightly ahead of schedule with regards to his return, posted a photo of Arthur happily walking down the street. In the caption, the former Washington Huskies standout wrote one word: “Mood…”

Cavs big man Channing Frye, a member of the team who is known for his witty sense of humor, didn’t want to leave his friends out.

Dwyane Wade’s post features a seemingly care-free Arthur.
Finally, Jeff Green posted this jovial photo of Arthur, who appears to be reaching for the sky with peace signs. In jest, Green, one of the more quiet members of the team, noted that he “just wanted to be like everyone else.”
The Cavs, now the 3rd-ranked team in the Central Division standings with a 7-7 record, will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they’ll face off against the Charlotte Hornets inside the Spectrum Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Ohio and ESPN having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see if they can keep their winning momentum rolling.
