With the start of the 2017-18 NBA season fast approaching, several players around the league have already begun their preparations for the upcoming grind, including Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert.

After completing a strenuous lifting session on Tuesday, Shumpert, known for his sense of humor, posted a video for his followers on social media. In the short clip, “Shump,” as he is known, can be seen wearing a “Lil Kev” tee shirt.

“(I) just got a great lifting session in,” Shumpert said in his video post. “(Just) checking in with ya’ll. You already know. Lil Kev lives on.”

Who is Lil Kev, you ask? Well, Lil Kev is actually a Tommy Bahama model (Will Chalker) who looks a lot like Cavs power forward Kevin Love. During the Cavs’ 2016 championship run, several members of the team decided to latch on to the Lil Kev story. In fact, Richard Jefferson, another member of the team who is known for his antics, would often carry a framed picture of Lil Kev on flights to road games as a running joke.

Near the end of his video post, Shumpert’s daughter, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., can be seen dancing to the famous kids song, “Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes.” Fair warning: be prepared to smile.

Despite all of the drama surrounding the Cavs’ 2017 NBA offseason, Shumpert, a player who picks up his lunch pail and goes to work every day, seems focused on the task at hand.
