Entering this postseason, LeBron James likened the Cleveland Cavaliers’ playoff push to Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel series The Hunger Games. Following Game 5 — a game in which he buried a game-winning shot with time expiring on the clock — James made another reference to the popular films.

“Let’s see if we can keep going,” James told Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com during his post-game media availability. “Don’t want to hear that loud noise in the sky.”

James has been on an absolute mission in this series. The King logged 42 minutes in Game 5, leading all scorers with 44 points on 14-24 shooting from the field (1-4 from beyond the arc), 10 rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal. Furthermore, James was perfect at the charity stripe (15-15), making him just the sixth player in NBA history to score 40 points or more with a 15-of-15 mark or better from the free-throw line in a playoff game.

“We just got to continue to find hiding places and make sure we stay out the way,” James said. “People might be ganging up on us so we just got to figure out how we stay alive and tonight was another opportunity for that. Hopefully tonight we can get some sponsors to send us something down from the hierarchy.

“Send us some food or I’ll take some rest,” James continued. “Send me down some rest and we’ll get back out there on Friday.”

Game 6 is set to tip inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday night with ESPN, FOX Sports Ohio and FOX Sports Indiana having live broadcast coverage.
