Tuesday, August 8th, 2017, marks the 25-year anniversary of USA Men’s Basketball’s 32-point victory over the Croatian National Team in the 1992 Olympic games at Barcelona, Spain. “The Dream Team,” as the squad came to be known, featured some of the NBA’s most iconic faces of all time; names like Michael Jeffrey Jordan, Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson, Larry Joe Bird, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, and Clyde Drexler — to name a few.

In honor of the anniversary, Magic, who now serves as president of basketball operations for his beloved Los Angeles Lakers, tweeted out a personalized message to his Olympic teammates. As a friendly gesture, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James replied to the tweet with an appreciative note of his own.

It seems as though James, like many other athletes across the globe, has been inspired by The Dream Team and their legendary success.
