Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James continues to compile impressive numbers in arguably the best season yet of his Hall of Fame career.

On Tuesday, James showed another reason why he’s far from a decline, as he tied a career-best 17 assists in a 123-114 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Apart from that dizzying total of dimes, LeBron James also finished with a game-high 25 points on a near immaculate 11-of-13 shooting from the field, seven rebounds, and two steals in 35 minutes of duty on the floor.

In a season where James has been a statistical juggernaut so far, the three-time champion manages to find ways to impress and keep himself in the conversation among early candidates for the MVP award.

In 28 games played, the Cavs superstar has averaged 28.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game – third overall in the NBA.

LeBron James has taken the bulk of point guarding duties for the Cavs of late, especially with Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas both sidelined due to injuries, and has not disappointed. With James mostly at the helm of the team’s offense this season, Cleveland has become one of the highest-scoring squads in the NBA, averaging 111.0 points per game.

The other time in which James made 17 assists was just last February, when the Cavs defeated the Washington Wizards on the road, 140-135.
