The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to make a major splash on Wednesday with the signing of All-Star guard Dwyane Wade on a one-year, $2.3 million deal.
Wade has a plethora of experience playing alongside LeBron James, having spent four seasons with him with the Miami Heat that saw them reach four straight NBA Finals that resulted in a pair of championships. According to ESPN, the 35-year-old has spent more time on the court in the postseason more than any other player in James’ 14-year career.
This only further highlights the high amount of success that the two had with the Heat where they played in 86 playoff games, which is just a bit more an entire regular season.
The two clearly have plenty of chemistry both on and off the court that could bode well this upcoming season as it could make Wade’s transition more smooth. He knows the spots on the floor where he can be the most effective offensive contributor while playing off James.
The presence of Dwyane Wade may have a huge impact by providing the Cavs with another proven scorer with championship experience. He is coming off another productive campaign where he averaged 18.3 points on 43.4 percent shooting from the field in his only year with the Chicago Bulls.
