Much has been said about Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James’ legendary basketball career. He was a high-school prodigy who went straight to the big league. He had his fair share of struggles in the beginning. Yet slowly and surely, he trekked the road to greatness. The Cavs forward’s personal life, however, has seemingly remained in the shadows.

We only know a few general tidbits about his upbringing. In interviews, King James never really gets questions related to his family life. Media men and women usually throw questions about his game, thought process, among other basketball-related things.

But after their Game 4 victory against the Boston Celtics, James confessed that there’s a bit more to his story than what the public knows. As reported by Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated, James said:

You guys don’t know the full story about where I come from, the struggle I had. You guys know about the single-parent struggle, but there’s a lot more to it, which I’ll talk about it when I’m done playing ball.

Is James teasing us with a post-retirement project? It’s still a matter of wait-and-see at this point. But it is pretty safe to assume that James’ personal life is as interesting as his basketball career.

There are still a few more chapters left in his NBA career. Who knows what he has in store for us in the next two to three years as he nears retirement age. Right now, we are blessed to see a generational player still in his prime.
