Since entering the NBA a little over 14 years ago, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been one of the most consistent scorers the league has seen in quite some time.

He has ramped that up over the last several seasons that helped him break the all-time record with 867 consecutive games with at least 10 points— a record that was previously held by Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. According to ESPN Stats & Info, James also has more 50-point outings in his career than instances where he has failed to reach double-digit scoring.

This is quite an impressive feat for James as he has been an elite-level scorer throughout his illustrious career despite not being regarded as being a pure scorer. He has found ways to continue to be an effective offensive machine in the last few seasons, utilizing his ability to get to the rim with his size and strength while being a consistent scorer from the outside.

It has helped James remain a highly-effective scorer, shooting 50.4 percent for his career while hitting a respectable 34.3 percent from beyond the arc. The 33-year-old has continued that in his 15th season hitting 54.7 percent of his shots from the field while ranking third in the league with 27.6 points per game. He has picked it up over the last couple of months as he is averaging a triple-double in the last 24 games dating back to Feb. 7 with 30.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 10.1 assists on 55.3 percent shooting from the field.

There doesn’t appear to be any decline in James’ play on the floor as he is playing arguably the best basketball of his career. In fact, he is averaging a career-high 9.1 assists per contest, which is currently second in the league. What has been as equally as impressive has been his durability as he has played in every game this season in his 15th campaign while leading the league with an average of 37.1 minutes nightly. With all that in mind, it just speaks to the type of special talent that James has put on display in his NBA career.
