Several players have had breakout performances through the early stages of this young season, it’s true. However, when it comes to players with the most 27/7/7 performances, 32-year old Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, now in his 15th season of NBA service, is leading the pack.

The Cavs are currently ranked ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 5-6 record, but James is continuing to stuff stat sheet after stat sheet. In fact, the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 Draft has been posting some of the best statistical figures of his career, despite the fact that he missed a portion of training camp due to a sprained left ankle. Through Cleveland’s first 11 games of the 2017-18 season, James is carrying averages of 28.9 points on 59.8 percent shooting from the field, 9.1 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per contest — all while hitting 83.9 percent of his free-throws.

Eight players have finished games with a 27/7/7 stat line this season, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Russell Westbrook (each have two such performances), followed by DeMarcus Cousins, Lonzo Ball, James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton, who each have one such game this season. However, James, who has four 27/7/7 games to his credit, owns 31% of this season’s ‘LeBron’ games, as they’ve came to be known on reddit.com.

In Cleveland’s 130-122 road win over the Washington Wizards last week, James reminded the basketball world exactly what he is (still) capable of, finishing with 57 points on 23-34 shooting, 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and two blocks.

James and the Cavs will be back in action on Thursday night, when they’ll kick off their four-game road trip with a matchup against James Harden and the Houston Rockets inside the Toyota Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
