LeBron James is still universally recognized as the best player in the world. The kid from Akron is still going strong after all these years dominating the league. Entering the league as a raw 18-year-old, not many anticipated James would still be at the top of his game after 15 grueling seasons in the association.

By this time in his career, James wasn’t supposed to still be jumping as high, dunking as much or be as dominant as he is, but he isn’t just any other player. No one has taken care of their body quite as well as the four-time MVP, and it’s paying dividends as James is still on top of the NBA mountain.

The three-time champion was extraordinary again last June as he became the first player in NBA history to average a triple-double in the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, his record-setting performance was in a losing effort as the Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Golden State Warriors in five games. Nevertheless, it was an amazing achievement for the King.

As the NBA season will be here before we know it, James is as usual getting his body ready for another grueling campaign ahead. Chances are, he will need to condition himself for another deep playoff run as the Cavaliers remain the top dog in the Eastern Conference as it stands.

His workout videos have been almost a daily occurrence, and James has stated numerous times he cannot wait for the season to begin. It’s all great signs for Cavalier fans, as it has been an up and down offseason so far with the trade request from Kyrie Irving. The constant through all the drama has been the presence of James, who stands tall during a time when the organization is vulnerable.

As James continues to thrive, the records will continue to fall, and this upcoming season could see ground breaking territory in the NBA by the superstar small forward.

As of right now, James needs just 1,273 points to reach the 30,000-point club. He would only need to average 17 points per game through 75 games to reach that mark, and considering James averaged more than 25 points per game last season, it’s almost certain he will join the exclusive club.

The Cavs’ main man is currently sitting at seventh place in all-time points (28,787), 71st in all-time rebounds (7,706) and 12th place in all-time assists (7,461). If James averages his usual 25 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, he would become the only player in NBA history with at least 30k points, 8k rebounds and 8k assists. As he enters the club, he would also be the youngest player to reach 30k points.

This achievement becomes even more impressive as we put this achievement into perspective in comparison to other all-time great players.

Members of the 30k points and 8k rebounds club are: Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlin, Karl Malone and Dirk Nowitzki.

Members of the 8k rebounds and 8k assists club: Jason Kidd

Members of the 30k points and 8k assists club: Nobody

James would be making remarkable NBA history this upcoming season as he continues to rule the NBA world. The numbers he will put up during his career will be mind boggling, and we may not realize the magnitude of what we are witnessing until he walks away from the game leaving only his legacy behind.
