The Cleveland Cavaliers’ 12-game winning streak was under some jeopardy from the Sacramento Kings. The Kings had led for most of the game heading into the fourth quarter. But unfortunately for them, that was when King James decided to take over.

LeBron James led the Cavs’ fourth-quarter comeback, including the decisive 3-pointer in the final minute to give them the 101-95 win. After the game, Kyle Korver revealed the simple instruction James gave to the team during the end game.

“He’s just demanding the ball. He’s like, ‘Give me the ball, we’re about to win.’ And, I’ve been around some guys who’ve had amazing years. I’ve been playing with him and Derrick (Rose) when he was MVP. Allen Iverson when I was young. But he’s taken this to a whole new level. It’s amazing to have a better than a front-row seat, because I’m usually on the court next to him somewhere. I’m glad he’s on my team.”

Despite what some of his critics might say, James has been a clutch player for virtually his entire career. However, he has taken his late-game heroics to another level as he’s matured, to the point where they’re almost automatic. He’s embraced the role and has transformed himself into a true cold-blooded closer.

This season, the marked improvement of his 3-pointer has only added another weapon to his arsenal, which has made him even more unstoppable.

It must be a comforting thought for James’ Cavs teammates to be able to just sit back and let LeBron do his thing to get the win during crunch time.
