In the midst of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ slow start to the season, there has remained chatter surrounding LeBron James long-term future with the team.

Much of that has centered around the possibility of James joining the Los Angeles Lakers next summer in free agency if he does elect to enter the free agent market. With that in mind, James’ agent and close friend, Rich Paul recently clarified the differences between the Lakers and Cavaliers at this point in time during an interview on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

Although Paul doesn’t know exactly what will factor into James’ decision next summer, he did reiterate some of what the 32-year-old has stated over the last few weeks. His main priority still remains with winning and moving closer to earning another NBA title, which Cleveland currently offers a much greater chance of him accomplishing that feat.

Meanwhile, there still remains much unknown with Los Angeles despite them having some promising young pieces to the puzzle that could develop into something down the line. James is in the second half of his career and it would be foolish at this point for him to consider letting one of his remaining prime years go down the drain by going to a team that has much uncertainty.

At this current juncture, it is still hard to believe the notion that James would leave a team that he has led to three straight NBA Finals for any other organization.
