Cavs’ Larry Nance Jr. trolls Kevin Love on his 32nd birthday

Cavs forward Larry Nance Jr. decided to have a little fun with Kevin Love, who’s celebrating his 32nd birthday on Monday.

As they usually do with players, the NBA sent out a tweet to wish Love a happy birthday. Nance saw this post, then decided to retweet it with a cheeky reply:

Tristan Thompson, who served alongside Love during Cleveland’s championship-winning season in 2016, sent out an actual birthday greeting:

Though Love and the Cavs seem jovial in their back-and-forth banter, they know that there is a lot of work to be done in the coming season. Cleveland finished the 2019-20 campaign with a 19-46 overall record, which was the worst mark in the Eastern Conference. As a result, they were left off the invitation list when the season resumed inside the NBA’s bubble complex.

The Cavs currently own the No. 5 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Some experts feel that the team should keep this new asset to pick up a talented young prospect for the future, such as Obi Toppin or Deni Avdija. Others, however, think the pick could traded for a more established player. At this point, it’s not exactly clear which way the team is leaning.

Love made 56 appearances with the Cavs this season, racking up averages of 17.6 points on 45.0 percent shooting from the field (37.4 percent from beyond the arc), 9.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 31.8 minutes per outing.

Join us in wishing K-Love a happy 32nd birthday!
