The Cleveland Cavaliers are laying out their defensive strategy against the Boston Celtics. Kyle Korver, LeBron James recently gave hints on what to expect.

As reported by ClutchPoints’ Nikki Goel, Korver compared the Celtics to the Indiana Pacers, calling the former defensive elite. In the playoffs, the Boston Celtics have a defensive rating of 105.8 for seventh place.

Korver was also confident in their devised strategies defensively. He said:

“We don’t want to give them all our secrets and strategies, but this will have to be our best defensive series.”

The Cavaliers, however, have received flak all season long for their piss poor defensive efforts. In the regular season, they had a defensive rating of 109.5 for 29th place. In the playoffs, they seem to have picked up the pressure a bit. They currently have a 108.4 defensive rating

The three-point marksman also compared the regular season to the playoffs, saying:

“The regular season is long, and there’s something to that. You play the same guys over and over and eventually, teams start to figure out your strategies.”

James also commented on the Celtics, praising head coach Brad Stevens:

“[Boston] is one of the most well-coached teams in the NBA.”

Game 1 will be on Sunday, May 13 at Boston, 3:30 p.m. ET.
