LeBron James made a surprising bit of history against the Miami Heat, as he was ejected for the first time in his storied 15-year career. His teammates, Kyle Korver and Dwyane Wade, in particular, were miffed about his being ejected.
“It’s funny because when you’re not on LeBron’s team, you’re like, ‘Man, that guy get’s every call.’ And then you come on his team and you’re like, ‘Man, that guy never gets any calls.’ It’s unbelievable,” said Korver.

Meanwhile, Wade was surprised at the speed with which James was tossed by the official despite his reputation as someone who doesn’t venture into full-on dissent often.
“I mean, I just thought it was quick,” Wade said to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “I mean, a player like him, you give him the benefit of the doubt. He says something, you give him a tech, kind of walk away and let him calm down. That’s it. That’s all I got on that.”
In fairness to James, it didn’t seem as if he was getting the benefit of the doubt on some calls and had every right to be upset. But whether it was because he said or did the wrong things or that he just caught the official on a bad day, it was just James’ time to get tossed. As they say, there’s a first time for everything.
But on the bright side, his teammates were able to close out the win without him, right after they shook off the initial shock of James’ historic ejection.
