Despite earlier news that came out about Kevin Love being questionable to play on Tuesday versus the Portland Trail Blazers, he is reportedly available to see action on the night, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

The four-time All-Star missed the team’s morning shootaround due to an undisclosed illness but it may not be that serious and cause him to miss the game. His presence will be a huge boost to the Cavs especially with the debut of Isaiah Thomas finally happening on Tuesday as well. It will give head coach Tyronn Lue a chance to see their predicted starting five since the offseason to share the court in an actual game for the first time.

Love is having himself another solid season with averages of 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29.6 minutes per game. With Thomas playing for the first time wearing the Wine and Gold jersey, it could lead to more open shots for him as he has the ability to draw the defense’s attention and locate his teammates for easy baskets. It will certainly be interesting to see how the 5-foot-9 point guard will affect the games of his fellow starters, including Love, who has the knack to shoot from beyond the arc.
