As a sign of team unity, LeBron James gifted a set of Thom Browne suits to his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates prior to Game 3 of their first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers. The team has showed up “dressed to kill,” as they say, every game since. Three suits were issued, according to several reports. Some have criticized this notion, but the Cavs seem to have bought in.

One member of the team who loves the idea is Kendrick Perkins, who the Cavs called up from the Canton Charge for their playoff push. “Perk,” as he’s affectionately known, says the gesture demonstrates why LeBron is the definition of “All-In.”

“’Bron is a true definition of an all-in guy,” Perkins told Brian Sevold of theScore.com. “I thought it was a great idea. Dress as one. Unity. You’re going to have haters who wish they had a suit. I love all three of mine. I thought it was a great idea.”

Whether the suits be to blame or not, James has been on an absolute tear in the playoffs. His numbers are staggering, to be frank. Through Cleveland’s first 11 games of the postseason, the Kid from Akron has racked up averages of 34.3 points on 55.3 percent shooting from the field, 9.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block in 41.4 minutes per. And this comes after playing all 82 games in the regular season for the first time in his career.

Newly-acquired Cavs big man Larry Nance may have summed it up best.

“For certain guys, it’s not quite their style,” Nance said. “But we’re all coming to the arena with the same thing on. It’s a business trip. It’s a ‘we over me’ mindset.”
