Since entering the league more than 14 years ago, Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James has put together quite an illustrious career.

It has garnered much of the respect from peers both current and former across the NBA about where he ranks among the all-time greatest players. According to Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports, Philadelphia 76ers guard J.J. Redick made it quite clear where he believes James ranks in that category.

Although that conversion usually tilts in the favor of Hall of Famer Michael Jordan holding that crown, James has certainly put together a worthy resume up to this point in time. He already has 13 All-Star Game selections, three NBA titles, three NBA Finals MVP awards, four regular-season MVP awards, 11 All-NBA First Team selections, two All-NBA Second Team nods, and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections.

He will likely add many more impressive accolades to that feat such as possibly finishing as the top of the all-time scoring list before his career winds up. James is a one-of-a-kind player that has an ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor in multiple ways. There simply hasn’t been a player at his size to possess that type of talent.

However, it will hardpressed for many to give him the title as being the greatest player to play the game in such a crowded argument that excellent cases can be made for players such as Jordan, Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Bill Russell. If anything, this at least shows that he has earned the respect of being recognized as being squarely in that conversations.
