The Cleveland Cavaliers stormed out to a 34-18 first quarter lead and a 68-53 halftime lead over the Boston Celtics. It was a similar start to Game 3, but in the first half of Game 4, Kyle Korver was the hot man.

Korver played 12 first half minutes, finishing with 14 points and two rebounds on 4-of-4 shooting from the filled 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. The most shocking part of his stat line was the three blocked shots, all against Celtics guard Jaylen Brown.

Once ESPN broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy caught wind of Korver’s statline, he joked that any player who gets blocked twice by him in the first half should be put in some kind of penalty box for a brief period of time.

Korver’s greatest skills are his three-point shooting. Korver has 2,213 made three-pointers in his career, fourth all-time in NBA history. He’s also 15th all time in three-pointers made in the playoffs with 231 made triples. What is is not known for, however, is his athleticism. He gets the occasional block shot in a game, but three blocked shots in the first half of a playoff game is a little surprising.
