Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jeff Green has returned to the team after missing Sunday’s 121-114 win over the Brooklyn Nets due to an illness. According to a report from Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Green was diagnosed with whooping cough and has since recovered. Whether or not he’ll be available for Tuesday night’s matchup in Miami against the Heat remains to be seen, but he seems to be on the right track.
Green, now 31 years of age, left during the second half of Friday’s game against the Phoenix Suns and did not return to action. In his 69 games played for the Cavs this season, the former Georgetown Hoya has racked up averages of 10.7 points on 47.5 percent shooting from the field (30.1 percent from beyond the arc), 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.0 minutes.
Although the Cavs seem to be getting healthy at the right time, they’ll still be without a few key pieces for Tuesday night’s game in South Beach, including head coach Tyronn Lue (illness), Kyle Korver (NWT/personal), and Cedi Osman (hip flexor).
