During the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-91 win on the road over the Philadelphia 76ers, injured All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas decided to pay homage to one of his favorite players in league history.

Thomas made the choice to don a shirt with Hall of Famer and 76ers great Allen Iverson while sitting on the bench during the contest.

Beyond having much respect for what Iverson accomplished over his career, Thomas has grown to have a strong personal relationship with him over the years. This included Iverson sending him motivational text messages last year when he was with the Boston Celtics and stating that he saw some of himself in the 28-year-old.

Thomas has developed into a premier scorer in the league like the Hall of Famer despite being one of the smaller players on the court. This alone has allowed for the two to share a unique bond and building beyond over the last couple of years.

Iverson was one of the most talented offensive players that the league has seen at his size that helped him earn numerous accolades such as 11 All-Star selections and an MVP award. His regular season career scoring 26.7 points per game ranks seventh all-time, and his playoff career average of 29.7 points per game is second only to Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.

It was simply an ideal scenario for Thomas on Monday night to pay his respect to Iverson in the city that he put together an illustrious career.
