Cavs news: Isaiah Thomas sleeps with his basketball
While the start of training camp nears, players are already slipping into their basketball habits once again. For Isaiah Thomas, that includes sleeping with his basketball, as his wife Kayla showed in an Instagram video.
The 5-foot-9 point man was snuggled with his friend Spalding at 7:34 a.m. — a clear sign that his recovery and getting back to the court are the only thing in his mind — even in his dreams.

Thomas is expected to miss the next three to four months with hip and labrum injuries, but if he’s able to stay consistent with his recovery and rehabilitation, chances are he can regain his quality play by next year.
The new Cleveland Cavaliers addition is symbolizing the eat-ball-sleep pattern to a tee, a welcome sight for those looking to see him paired up with LeBron James in the near future.
