There is renewed optimism in Northeast Ohio, as training camp for the Cleveland Cavaliers is just two weeks away with a host of fresh faces set to enter the Cleveland practice facility. After a relatively quiet start to the off season, the Cavs have ended their time off with a bang as they’ve shipped off Kyrie Irving and welcomed Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder as notable additions to an already brilliant roster.
The trade took the league by storm, but emotions have now settled as the Cavaliers are gearing up to defend their Eastern Conference crown in just over a month’s time. The Cavaliers faithful are excited about the addition of the five-foot-nine guard, but will have to wait to see him in action as he recovers from a hip injury which will force him to miss the start of the campaign.
Despite watching the start of the season from the bench, Thomas has said and done all the right things since his arrival in Cleveland. He’s eager to get started, and hungry to prove what he can do next to the best player in the world in LeBron James.
Thomas is a scoring machine, averaging just under 30 points per game last season, and along with his basketball ability, the star point guard will also show off his skills in front of the camera as he is set to star in popular hit TV show “Law and Order SVU” as himself.
As we all know, basketball players endeavors travel much further than the court nowadays, and with the boom in social media, anyone can have an opinion, including the haters.
Of course, Thomas was a target because of his role on the TV screen, but expertly responded the troll on his personal Twitter account, as he reinstated what his main goal is for the upcoming season.
