Isaiah Thomas “had a blast” during the filming of his cameo in the popular crime show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which took place in New York City on Wednesday.

Thomas took to Twitter to post a behind-the-scenes photo of himself with series executive producer Julie Martin and director Tricia Brock on the scene’s set.

“One of the coolest things I’ve ever done,” Thomas said in another tweet, responding to a fan’s question about his experience.

The charismatic 5-foot-9 dynamo plays himself on the episode, centering around an investigation for a missing individual, according to The Plain Dealer. His particular scene is set at the Chelsea Piers Sports & Entertainment Complex, right by the Hudson.

Thomas wasn’t short of critics on Twitter after having a long window of time for his recovery from a hip and labrum injuries sustained over the course of last season. He was asked if he came to the city of Cleveland to make TV shows, which he replied to both sarcastically and matter-of-factly.

Law & Order: SVU is heading into its 19th season, airing at its usual Wednesday night spot at 9 p.m. EST on NBC. Thomas’ episode will probably air in October.
