Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Isaiah Thomas thinks he knows how his team has been able to rack up a ten-game winning streak.

In the early days of November, when the Cavs were just trying to get above .500, Thomas surprised each of his teammates with a unique gift: a set of Wine and Gold JBL headphones.

“Gifted these custom JBL headphones to my teammates a couple of weeks ago,” Thomas wrote in his Facebook post. “We haven’t lost since… Just saying lol.”

A kind gesture from Isaiah Thomas, to be sure.

As most hoops fans know, Thomas, now 28 years of age, has been dealing with a hip injury for quite some time. Initial reports had the former Washington Huskies standout making a return sometime around January. However, more recent reports are hinting that his recovery could be slightly ahead of schedule. And in fact, Thomas himself has said he is confident that he’ll be able to return soon.

There is no doubt that Thomas is itching to take the floor with his new teammates. He’s often seen cheering in approval from the bench after a big play. For now, though, Cavs fans will have to wait just a bit longer.

The Cavs, winners of ten consecutive games (longest active streak in the NBA), will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies inside Quicken Loans Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Ohio and Fox Sports South having live broadcast coverage.
