Cleveland Cavs rookie Evan Mobley has gotten off to an incredible start in the NBA. Often looking like an NBA veteran, Mobley has looked as pro-ready as any rookie in this year’s draft class. Mobley’s incredible start earned him the ultimate NBA honor for a rookie.

That is an impressive accolade for Cavs rookie Evan Mobley. It’s well-deserved too. Mobley has been an excellent presence on both ends of the floor for Cleveland, with averages of 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game this season, all while missing some time due to an elbow injury.

Not only that, but Mobley has done some pretty crazy things in individual games as well, most notably stuffing the stat sheet in his NBA debut against the Memphis Grizzlies. Needless to say, Mobley has lived up to his billing as the number-three overall pick in the NBA draft.

Mobley has even begun to expand his offensive repertoire, stretching things out to the three-point line in recent games after seldom doing so in his first month in the NBA. That’s an even better sign for the Cavs, as a big man with Mobley’s variety of skills becomes even harder to defend, not to mention the extra spacing his ability to shoot creates for the rest of Cleveland’s players.

The Cavs have a bright future with Evan Mobley. And Mobley has more awards and accolades in his future.
