In what could be a very fitting and even ironic development inside the Cleveland Cavaliers locker room, their latest signing, Dwyane Wade, has reportedly taken over the locker room of Kyrie Irving.

The closet will now be the place where a player who chose to play for the team will have his stuff in, which was used before by the All-Star point guard, who requested to be traded this past summer.

Wade announced his decision to take his talents to Northeast Ohio last week, after months of uncertainty about his future with the Chicago Bulls. Rumors about a potential buyout with his former team surfaced as early as the first few days of the offseason, but he was apparently not in touch with the Bulls front office for months, which could explain why they only reached an agreement in late September.

Irving on the other hand surprised many when news came out that he wanted to be traded from the Cavs. His demand reportedly stemmed from wanting to play a bigger role, and becoming the face of a franchise, unlike with the team where he plays behind LeBron James. As it turned out, he is now with the Boston Celtics, while the Cavaliers have added Wade and Isaiah Thomas, since the deal that landed him there was finalized.

It remains to be seen how much success Wade will have with the Wine and Gold. However, if using the said locker could be a good omen for him, he may just find the fountain of youth, and turn back time with stellar performances this coming season, just like how he played during his earlier days in the NBA.
