Isaiah Mobley continues to impress for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Summer League, so much so that even Donovan Mitchell keeps heaping praise on the youngster.
On Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets, Mobley provided fans with another highlight reel-worthy material. The younger brother of Cavs big man Evan Mobley soared in the first quarter for an epic poster dunk that sent everyone in the building on their feet.
Of course Donovan Mitchell was left in awe of what Isaiah Mobley just did, and he quickly took to Twitter to share how impressed he was. He could only tweet Isaiah’s nickname along with several flushed face emojis.
Mitchell wasn’t the only Cavs player who was in shock after witnessing Mobley’s play, though. Even Cavs forward Dean Wade couldn’t hide his disbelief over what just happened.
Making things even better, Mobley did more than just provide the highlight of the game. He was also crucial in leading the Cavs to the 102-99 win, paving the way for the team to make it to the Summer League final.
Mobley dropped 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two blocks in the victory. He also scored the game-sealing clutch bucket to make sure the Nets wouldn’t have any shot at a comeback.
Sure enough, Mobley deserves all the praise he’s getting from his peers and all the fans. And after a standout performance in the Summer League–regardless of the result of the final–he has certainly shown that he belongs in the NBA.
