Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Donovan Mitchell is without a doubt one of the top players in the NBA today. He had quite a debut season with the Cavs this past year, and the four-time All-Star is hoping to come out with an even better campaign in 2023-24.

Mitchell has been keeping busy in the offseason, though. Recently, the 26-year-old took part in a home run derby during a Cleveland Browns event. Being the elite athlete that he is, Mitchell ended up winning the competition with no less than 11 homers in the final round. The Cavs guard was so proud that he decided to compare himself with Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani:

Spida Ohtani does have a nice ring to it. Below is another video of the Cavs star crushing it at Classic Park en route to his very impressive home run derby win:

While there’s no denying that Donovan Mitchell has some potential in the MLB, it’s also true that we would all much rather have him keep on doing what he’s doing with the Cavs. He’s firmly established himself as a bona fide NBA superstar, and Cleveland is hoping that Mitchell is able to bring them back to the promised land in the near future.

Mitchell and Co. will have another crack at it this coming season, and with one full year now under their belt, the Cavs should be able to put up a more formidable challenge in the East this time around.
