It seems as though the Cleveland Cavaliers are on the mend. Point guard Isaiah Thomas recently made his return after missing seven months of action due to a hip injury. And now, according to several reports, Derrick Rose could be well enough to participate in Thursday’s home game against the Orlando Magic.
Rose and Thomas aren’t the only ones on the mend, though. Iman Shumpert, who has been recovering from successful knee surgery since Dec. 1, is on the road to recovery as well.
So… where will Rose fit in the Cavs’ loaded backcourt once everyone is healthy? The former league MVP says he just wants to help his team in any way he can.
“I just wanna hoop,” Rose told Nikki Goel of Cavs Nation after Wednesday’s practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts. “It’s not about stats or anything like that. I just wanna go on the floor and show people what I still have in the tank and help this team in any way I can.”

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue would not disclose whether or not Rose (or Shumpert) would be available for Thursday’s game, but he did say that the team is in good spirits, despite their current four-game skid.
