Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell came through for the Cleveland Cavaliers yet again on Sunday night. The pair combined for 51 points for the Cavs as they took down a hapless Charlotte Hornets side, 114-108.

After the game, Cleveland’s star duo had a hilarious exchange right before they headed to the locker room. As Garland was doing his customary post-game interview, Mitchell decided to blatantly call out his teammate after the victory:

“Hit your free throws!” Mitchell shouted as he walked by Garland’s interview.

Mitchell’s statement drew out a wry smile out of Garland, who took a couple of seconds before he was able to formulate a comeback for his teammate’s savagery:

“Shut up,” Garland responded.

Garland then nonchalantly went on with his interview as he shrugged off Mitchell’s criticism.

For what it’s worth, Garland actually went 10-of-13 on his free throws on the evening for the Cavs, finishing with a game-high 28 points (on 8-of-20 shooting), six rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 39 minutes of action. Mitchell wasn’t bad himself, logging 23 points on 10-of-19 from the field, to go along with three rebounds, three dimes, and two steals.

Despite the easy victory, Mitchell wasn’t too pleased about Garland missing a few attempts from the charity stripe — and Donovan wasn’t at all shy about calling out his Cavs teammate on live TV.

This was all made in good fun, though, which just goes to show how well these two get along. Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell have been an excellent partnership for Cleveland, and it goes without saying that the Cavs will go as far as where these two take them.
