Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland woke up feeling dangerous on Monday and he let the Phoenix Suns feel it when he had an offensive explosion in the first quarter of the Cavsā€™ game versus Kevin Durant and company. In just one period, Garland was able to cobble up 21 points on 7-for-8 shooting from the field, including five 3-pointers.

Garland felt unstoppable in that quarter, with the Suns having no answer to the Cavs star. Cleveland fans have even declared the return of Garland to All-Star form. It can be recalled that Garland got an All-Star nod back in the 2021-22 NBA season.

ā€œOk, now yā€™all can quit talking about Darius Garland being back over above average performances. He is BACK BACK,ā€ said X user @BoldyBinturong.

ā€œDarius Garland oh my goodness šŸ„¹ heā€™s so back,ā€ posted @CLE216SPO about the Cavs star.

ā€œDARIUS ā€œALL-STARā€ GARLAND IS BACK,ā€ declared @CCavsFan7.

ā€œGuys I think the real Darius Garland is back,ā€ stated @vinniecud.

ā€œIā€™m hearing word, Darius Garland may be back,ā€ said @eatonam.

Garland, selected by Cleveland in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2019 NBA Draft, entered the Suns game coming off just a 14-point performance in last Sundayā€™s 120-101 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets but he made sure heā€™s not going to be as cold in that contest as he would in the meeting with the Suns ā€” at last in the opening period. With the Cavs missing some key pieces like Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus due to injuries, Garland is forced to carry a heavier workload, especially on offense, during this ongoing showdown with Phoenix.
