To say that Danny Green was a busy man throughout the recently-concluded NBA trade deadline would be an understatement at this point. The 35-year-old was traded by the Memphis Grizzlies to the Houston Rockets on deadline day. The Rockets then decided to waive him, which eventually led to Danny Green signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a free agent.

Green made his Cavs debut on Wednesday in a 118-112 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, which also happens to be one of Green’s former teams. On Friday, the NBA journeyman took to Twitter to express exactly how he feels at this juncture in his career.

For starters, Danny Green sent out a heartfelt thank you message to the Grizzlies for the time he spent with the team:

Green then turned his attention to Cavs fans as he expresses just how delighted he is to come full circle. Green started his NBA career with the Cavs many years ago, and he’s just happy to be back:

Finally, Green also sent a special message for the Sixers and the Philly fans who welcomed him back with open arms when their team hosted the Cavs at the Well Fargo Center on Wednesday night:

Green definitely took the time to share his thoughts and innermost feelings after what turned out to be quite a whirlwind for him over the past week or so. Right now, though, the 13-year veteran is focused solely on the Cavs as he looks to make an impact on this young squad. He’s no star, but Danny Green’s wealth of experience is something Cleveland can certainly benefit from this season.
