Cleveland Cavaliers veteran Channing Frye stretched out a jab at rookie teammate Collin Sexton for flying Spirit airlines. Now, the Cavs’ eighth overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft has responded.

Via his Twitter account, Sexton posted a video, tagging Frye and Spirit Airlines in the process:

To recall, a few days prior, Frye roasted Sexton for being cheap. Below is a clip of Frye dissing Sexton via the veteran’s Instagram story:

Is Frye prodding Sexton to act like he’s in the NBA already? That he doesn’t have to scrimp? Do you agree with Frye? Or perhaps Sexton should maintain his attitude?

Last month, Chris Forsberg of ESPN interviewed the draft’s top incoming rookies and asked them what was their first big purchase upon signing that hefty NBA contract. Deandre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks confessed that they bought their respective moms a house. Young added that he bought himself a car, adding that it’s a good feeling to buy something for yourself and your loved ones.

Sexton, for his part, said that he hasn’t bought anything:

ā€œMan, I haven’t bought anything. No, I’m cheap. I’m real cheap.ā€

It’s a long way to go before Sexton retires. But from the looks of it, Young Bull has a future as a financial adviser for NBA players.
