The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the biggest early surprises of the 2021-22 NBA season thanks to consecutive wins over the Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers. In Wednesday night’s win over the Clippers, Cavs guard Collin Sexton detonated a monster dunk all over Nicolas Batum.

Sexton and the Cavs have certainly been big time so far this season, with an elite defense and rookie Evan Mobley standing out. After losing the first two games of the campaign, coming back and winning the next three against top-notch competition is quite the feat for such a young team. The last two of those games came on the road to start a lengthy road trip, and Cleveland will actually be facing LeBron’s Los Angeles Lakers up next.
One has to imagine King James will be suiting up for that game against his former team. LeBron missed the last two Lakers games because of an ankle injury, but after another day of rest on Thursday the hope is he’ll be ready to go for Friday’s game.
This is especially true after Los Angeles blew a 26-point lead against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Assuming LeBron plays, there should be tons of energy at Staples Center on Friday night as the upstart Cavs face a Lakers team trying to build chemistry with a new roster.
