Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Derrick Rose will miss his third-straight game tonight when his team takes on the Brooklyn Nets on the road, but the Cavs are looking forward to reinserting the former MVP back into the rotation this coming Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, Tyronn Lue is hoping to get his original starting point guard back sooner than later after Rose suffered an ankle injury in just the second game of the season – a 116-97 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 20.

Rose is still just 29, but his body has seemingly suffered the pounding as though he’s gone through two world wars.
The Cavaliers know what they were getting when they signed Rose to a one-year deal in the offseason and that includes a brittle body that will likely breakdown from time to time over the course of the entire 2016-17 campaign.
With Rose out of the lineup for at least another game, expect LeBron James to handle most of the table-setting duties for the Cavaliers in Wednesday’s showdown with the Brooklyn Nets.
