Cleveland Cavaliers big man Channing Frye has heard his named tossed around in trade rumors over the past few days. Most reports have stated that the Cavs are interested in trading the former Arizona Wildcat in a package deal for Sacramento Kings guard George Hill. Whether or not that deal will come to fruition remains to be seen, but it sounds like Frye is taking things in stride.

After the Cavs’ 114-102 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, Frye decided to respond to several Twitter users who were already wishing him a fond farewell.

“You’ll be truly missed,” one Twitter user wrote. “Good luck with the Jazz!”

Frye, one of the funnier members of the Cavs, replied with this tweet:

Another hoops fan chimed in, saying: “Good luck on the Virginia Squires. You’ll be missed.”

This last Twitter user is either taking a subtle shot at Frye or simply confused.

“Channing, best of luck on the Seoul Dynasty. I hear they need a Junkrat. Thanks for all your bombs here in Cleveland.”

For a variety of reasons, Frye’s playing time has diminished. In his 37 games played for the Cavs this season, he’s turned in averages of 4.1 points on 50.4 percent shooting from the field (34.9 percent from beyond the arc) and 2.1 rebounds.

Frye and the Cavs, losers in 10 of their last 13 games, will be back in action on Friday night, as they’re scheduled for a matchup against the Indiana Pacers inside Quicken Loans Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Ohio and Fox Sports Indiana having live broadcast coverage.
