The Cleveland Cavaliers are on pace to be part of the 2023 NBA Playoffs. The Cavs have not been to the postseason since they make it all the way to the NBA Finals back in the 2017-18 season, but with Donovan Mitchell spearheading the Cavs and a great supporting cast that includes Caris LeVert behind him, it would be shocking if the team misses the postseason.
As someone who’s familiar with the heightened intensity in the playoffs, Caris LeVert is already getting himself ready for the postseason.
“I’m just trying to be more locked in,” Caris LeVert said, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. “Playoff time coming and I know what that entails. I’ve been there a couple times, so I’m just trying to put myself in that mindset. My teammates give me a lot of confidence each and every night to just be myself, so they make it easy on me.”
Caris LeVert is averaging just 11.9 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting from the field so far this season, but he has greatly improved of late, showing just how prepared he is for the upcoming postseason.
Over the last five Cavs games, LeVert has put up an average of 18.4 points on 54.1 percent shooting from the floor and 51.6 percent shooting from behind the arc. It’s not going to be easy to sustain those numbers, especially his 3-point shooting accuracy, but such a stretch is very much a welcome sight for the Cavs, who are currently third in the Eastern Conference standings with a 45-28 record.
