As most hoops fans know, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James can become a free agent at the end of this season. Where he will choose to go (if anywhere at all) remains a mystery, but that isn’t stopping several cities from trying their best to recruit the three-time champion with their own billboards.

First, a set of three billboards showed up in Philadelphia.

Los Angeles then jumped on the James recruitment train with a series of their own advertisements.

On Friday morning, news came down the wire stating that two new billboards have been put up just outside of Cleveland, which were paid for by local Realtor Alison McIntyre Baranek from Stouffer Realty, according to a report from Betty Lin-Fisher of the Akron Beacon Journal.

While all of the billboards recruiting James have been clever, those in the Cleveland area take the proverbial cake. One is already up — on I-77 near Copley Road — and another is coming to the Medina area on State Route 18.

The billboard in the Akron area has a Wizard of Oz theme. There are two ruby red Nike shoes in the image with the phrase “LeBron, there’s no place like home.”

While the billboard wars continue, the Cavs will look to close out their regular season on a high note. Currently, they’re the 3rd-ranked team in the Eastern Conference standings with a 42-29 overall record.

James hasn’t missed a game this season and that trend looks like it will continue until Fan Appreciation Night as the Philadelphia 76ers are breathing down the Cavs’ neck while perched at fourth place.
