The Cleveland Cavaliers have a few players on their rosters who have been impressing in the preseason. There are 14 players who are guaranteed to make the roster including restricted free agent Tristan Thompson, once he re-signs.

Second-year Cavalier Joe Harris hasn’t played well in the preseason, but reports are that he is in no danger of losing his spot on the roster. While that means these 14 players are guaranteed a spot on the roster, there will be one spot up for grabs and here are the players currently playing for it in the preseason.

99 – Michael Dunigan

After the Wine & Gold Scrimmage as well as both preseason games, a few players have impressed. The main three, however, have been Jared Cunningham, Austin Daye, rookie Quinn Cook.

David Blatt talked about Cunningham, who is coming off of a 31 point game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

“He’s a two-way player, plays at both ends of the court and he competes,” Blatt said. “He’s been doing that consistently. He’s a no-nonsense kid, no issues kid. Just come out here, works hard, keeps his mouth shut and does what he’s supposed to do. And that’s great.”

According to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal, Cunningham currently has the highest odds of making the team.
