Jarrett Allen missed four games earlier this month for the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an eye injury. The one-time All-Star is now in danger of being sidelined again after popping up on the injury report for the Cavs ahead of their Tuesday night matchup against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.
Jarrett Allen injury status vs. Hawks
At the moment, it seems like Allen is headed for a game-time decision against Atlanta. He is currently listed as questionable to play due to a right groin strain, which could be a cause for concern. Groin injuries could be tricky, and it would not be a complete surprise if the Cavs opt to have Allen sit out on Tuesday because of this knock.
The Cavs are dealing with a long list of injuries too, with Danny Green and Raul Neto unavailable against the Hawks. Isaac Okoro is also questionable to play, while Dean Wade has been tagged as doubtful.
As for the Hawks, it appears that they have a clean bill of health heading into Tuesday’s game, with Jalen Johnson the only player on the injury report.
The Cavs are currently fourth in the East with a 48-28 record. They are sitting two games behind the Philadelphia 76ers for the third spot, with the Sixers battling Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Monday without both Joel Embiid and James Harden. At this point, the Cavs can still achieve a Top 3 finish in the conference, with home-court advantage in the playoffs already all but guaranteed at this point.
