There will likely be a long wait to finally see Isaiah Thomas suit up for the Cleveland Cavaliers in an actual NBA game. Thomas is expected to miss the start of the regular season, and could potentially miss three to four months if it’s determined that his injured hip requires surgery.
However, NBA 2K18 has come to everyone’s rescue by providing a brief glimpse of how the diminutive guard might look wearing the wine and gold of the Cavaliers as they went up against their old foes, the Golden State Warrriors.

Isaiah Thomas looked fairly active in the game as he challenged Stephen Curry hard on defense and brought the ball up with his trademark speed. The Cavs will certainly be hoping to get a similar version of Thomas once he recovers from his hip problem, whenever that might be.
And even if Thomas ends up missing a good chunk of the season, there’s still a decent chance that simulation of him and the Cavs taking on the Warriors ends up being a preview of this year’s NBA Finals.
