J.R. Smith has been dealing with a sore left knee over the past week, and it probably just got worse for him. After Smith bails out the Cavs with a shot-clock beating floater, Smith seems to hyperextend his knee and collapses to the floor right away. Seeing that Smith couldn’t run, the Cavs fouled, and Smith immediately went down to the floor as his teammates and training staff surrounded him.
Fox Sports Ohio’s Allie Clifton reported that Smith will not return to the game.
