Injuries to centers Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli certainly opened up a window of opportunity for Varejao’s entry. His penchant to keep the ball moving and activity on the floor will be very valuable to the Warriors’ bench and his skillset gives a new dimension to the collection of Golden State’s centers.

Some may argue that the Cavs gave up more than the skillset and insurance policy that Varejao brings after his move to the biggest thorn on their championship hopes. But we still have to witness how Channing Frye, the player Cleveland got in return, helps the team.
Maybe he’s worth it. We’ll see.
