Since the Cleveland Cavaliers fell short of repeating as NBA champions, there have been a flurry of rumors around the organization.

Much of which has centered around the possibility of acquiring more superstar talent to help them challenge the Golden State Warriors. During ESPN 710 LA’s “Mason & Ireland Show,” Los Angeles Lakers’ play-by-play radio personality John Ireland dropped the bomb on a potential trade for the Cavaliers that didn’t occur.

“Speaking of big trades. There was a rumor that there was a five-team trade about to go down that would have put both Carmelo Anthony and Paul George to Cleveland and what held it up is that Kevin Love’s money was a problem for everybody. Nobody wanted to take that deal.”

For the last several months, the Cavaliers have been heavily rumored to be interested in acquiring both Anthony and George, but nothing has truly materialized in trade talk. However, it’s now clear that no team around the league values Love the way many would believe.

In fact, the current trade chatter for George has halted because the Indiana Pacers don’t have any significant interest in adding Love in any deal. Despite putting together his most productive season in a Cavaliers uniform, his value has continued to drop at a tremendous rate.

Love is still owed $72.3 million over the next three seasons and is still just 28-years-old with many productive seasons ahead of him. Unless this league’s viewpoint of him changes, it be can expect to that he will remain in Cleveland.
