As the Cleveland Cavaliers prepare for their upcoming road game against the Detroit Pistons, a few members of the team are dealing with either injury or illness.

J.R. Smith, who has been recovering from a fractured right thumb since December, was recently cleared for contact practice drills and upgraded to questionable. However, today, Chris Fedor of cleveland.com reports that he, like Coach Lue and LeBron James before that, is dealing with an illness.

According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Cavs physicians asked Smith to miss this morning’s shootaround in Detroit due to his illness. Despite the bad news, Smith is still being listed as questionable for tonight’s game, but it seems more likely that we’ll see him in action in the near future.
