Most eyes are trained on the NBA Awards Show tonight as the season’s best performances gets recognized on a stage like no other in league history. However, the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly not letting it take their attention off of landing the services of Paul George and trading Kevin Love.

After having difficulty looking for a third team to complete a deal, the Denver Nuggets have now emerged as having interest in bringing Love to their fold. It would allow them to unload three contracts they don’t want anymore, while adding a legitimate All-Star in their lineup.

The only roadblock in the way is the Indiana Pacers still being hesitant about it.

It remains unclear why the Pacers are not pulling the trigger on it. George has already informed them that he plans to become a free agent next summer and prefers to play for his hometown team, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Pacers may be looking to maximize the return they’ll receive in exchange for the 27-year-old Fresno State product, but they only have so much leverage at this stage.

All the chatter on George’s possible move has already taken a lot of turns in the past few of days, but he still remains with the Pacers. It might change soon though, especially with the official start of free agency scheduled on July 1st.

The signings of some stars may impact the potential move for George, but with Nuggets making it known that they are willing to take on Love, it definitely makes it closer to happening.
