J.R. Smith and LeBron James just had an exchange recently — but not the concerning type.
While in China, Smith made sure the world knows of his bragging rights over his Cleveland Cavaliers teammate in James. The former posted a photo on Instagram, showing off his latest cop, Nike’s newest LeBron 14s, which he claims aren’t even in the brand’s lifetime endorser’s shoe collection.
James had no choice but to submit as he admitted on a separate post that Smith had indeed worn his own signature shoe ahead of the superstar himself.

While this is just a small friendly back-and-forth between two good friends, it’s still refreshing for Cavalier fans to learn about the lighter side of their team’s offseason, outside of the whole Kyrie Irving situation.
