Cavs star power forward Kevin Love will not suit up tonight for the wine and gold as they welcome the Suns into the Q. The Cavs are back at home after a long road trip, but will be without their double-double machine for tonight’s contest.

Love went down on the Cavs recent defeat to the Warriors, as he experienced back spasms late in the second quarter. Kyle Korver took his place in the starting lineup after the halftime break at Oracle Arena, and Love did not return for the rest of the game.

News was delivered by Tyronn Lue, via ESPN, just an hour ago.

“He came in from trying to do half of the activities yesterday and today he couldn’t get through shootaround,” Lue said Thursday. “We have to sit him out.”

Sharpshooter James Jones will start in his place, and it marks the first start for Jones this season, and his first start in the NBA in two seasons. To his credit, Jones has always remained ready to go once his number has been called.

Look for the Cavs to get off to a hot start in the hopes of getting back in the winner’s circle.
