Kevin Love has been out the Cleveland Cavaliers’ lineup since February due to a knee injury, but that isn’t stopping him from sending cryptic messages to his two million followers on Instagram.

Love, who was named an NBA All-Star for the fourth time in his career this year, underwent knee surgery on February 14th and was deemed out for at least six weeks. Team doctors and officials stated that he would be reevaluated after the given timeframe. Subsequently, the 6-foot-10 UCLA standout was forced to sit out of this year’s All-Star festivities. Furthermore, Love has missed Cleveland’s previous 12 games, resulting in a 6-6 record.

Earlier this month, Love had his stitches removed and was granted permission to resume on-court agility and shooting drills. There is no doubt that the Cavaliers miss his perimeter shooting and uncanny rebounding abilities. Before his injury, Love was averaging 20.0 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Love unintentionally caused a bit of a stir on social media with his Instagram post today. Despite his jersey being prominently displayed in his locker room stall, Love will not be making his return tonight.

It seems Love, 28, is just itching to get back on the floor with his teammates, as Joe Vardon of cleveland.com reports.

“I’m just excited about getting close (to returning),” Love said prior to tonight’s home game against the Detroit Pistons.

Staying true to the original six-week timeline, Love would be back sometime around the end of March. That would give him roughly 10 games to be reacclimated to game speed and ready for this year’s playoff push.
